Australian Retirement Trust has today announced the superannuation fund’s first major appointment since finalising its merger on 28 February, appointing Nicole Bradford to the role of Head of Sustainable Investment.
Nicole Bradford is an industry leader in responsible investing bringing a wealth of knowledge from her experience working in Australia and overseas. Nicole joins Australian Retirement Trust after six years at Cbus Super, where she is currently the Global Head of Responsible Investment. Prior to this she worked for several years at GE Capital.
Australian Retirement Trust's Chief Investment Officer, Ian Patrick said Nicole joins the Fund at an exciting time as the team works to bring together their two heritage investment portfolios, with a key focus on sustainable investing.
“As a profit-for-members superannuation fund, we believe integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into our investment philosophy is consistent with better investment outcomes and contributes to a more sustainable future for our members and all Australians,” said Mr Patrick.
“At Australian Retirement Trust, we’re committed to being a force for good that enhances retirement outcomes and to make the world a better place for our more than two million members.
“With more than 25 years’ experience embedding sustainable thinking and practices within organisations, Nicole will play a pivotal role in helping build on Australian Retirement Trust's work in the rapidly maturing space of responsible investment.
“This is a critical role for Australian Retirement Trust, helping to build on the combined capability and strength of the wider investment team, and we are fortunate to have someone of Nicole’s experience and leadership qualities join the team.”
Nicole will commence her role as Australian Retirement Trust's Head of Sustainable Investments on Monday 16 May 2022.
